Frequently Asked Questions
1. Who are qualified to teach on Korio?
We welcome Filipino dance teachers with at least 1 year of teaching experience. We also require you to submit videos of your classes and performances as part of the application process.
2. How do teachers earn on Korio Studios?
Teachers will be paid a fee per qualifying video submission and also be able to earn royalties based on the total minutes that your video is viewed. Royalties will be computed and paid out at the end of every month. In addition, teachers can earn referral fees for new subscribers.
3. What kinds of classes can I teach?
You can teach any dance genre that you are qualified to teach. You can mix things up by teaching a short choreography, a follow-along class or specific steps or techniques.
4. What is a qualified video submission?
A qualified video submission should meet our prescribed video standards and guidelines and be between 30 and 60 minutes long. If you choose to shoot shorter videos, such as teaching specific movements, then you can submit a series of short videos, totaling 30 to 60 minutes. We reserve the right to reject videos that do not meet the standards.
5. Do I need to edit my own videos?
No. Video editing skills are not required. We can do the editing for you. However some teachers do prefer to do some initial editing on their own, so that's fine too.
6. Will there be live classes?
Live classes will not be part of our regular service. We know most of you hold live classes - whether online or in-person -- and Korio is meant to complement those classes as nothing can ever replace live teacher-student interactions.
